About the Instructors

Claire Marie Miller

Claire Marie Miller began her work in the health profession in 1974 as a radiologic technician. In 1979 she graduated with honors from the Boulder School of Massage Therapy. Since then, Claire has continued her studies through varied and extensive workshops, conferences, and individual instruction sessions. She began teaching in 1981 and has maintained a private practicce in massage and reflexology since 1980. Claire taught for the Lake Tahoe Community College and the Human Potential Center in Lake Tahoe, California. She has served as a teacher in North Carolina for the Body Therapy Institute, Carolina School of Massage Therapy, Community Wholistic Health Center, Therapeutic Massage Training Institute, and Touch AMerica, Inc.

She has instructed thousands of students in: Swedish, pregnancy, and infant massage; lymphatic drainage; Shiatsu; yoga; foot reflexology. In 1990, Claire developed Nurturing the Mother, a pre and peri-natal massage workshop and certification program. She initiated Bring the Feet to Life, in 1993.

Stephanie Fleming

Stephanie Fleming holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Therapy from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh and earned her diploma from Blue Cliff School of Therapeutic Massage in New Orleans in 1996. She is a Nationally Certified, licensed massage and bodywork therapist with additional certifications in Integrative Reflexology and Pre-Natal massage.

In addition to her teaching, Stephanie also owns & operates Solstice SalonSpa, a full service hair salon and day spa located in Black Mountain, North Carolina. She lives in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains near Asheville.

Colleen Ingram

Colleen Ingram is a 1995 graduate of the Carolina School of Massage Therapy and is a Nationally Certified, Professional member of the AMTA. She holds a B.A. in Anthropology and Communication Studies from UNC-Greensboro and has taken many post-graduate courses in science and psychology. She has had additional training in Dr. Travell's Trigger Point Therapy, and in Dr. Vodder's Manual Lymph Drainage, and Aromatherapy with Dr. Naomie Poran.

Colleen was first introduced to reflexology in the late 1980's and has been a student ever since. She began studies with Claire Marie Miller in 1995 and became certified in her "Bring the Feet to Life" workshop. Reflexology has been an invaluable modality in Colleen's practice. After having assisted Claire with a number of workshops, Colleen has become a certified "Bring the Feet to Life" instructor and now teaches at several locations.

Colleen has a full-time massage practice in Cary, North Carolina.

Valarie Dunlevy

Valarie Dunlevy started her massage education in the early 70's, raised her family, renewed her love for bodywork in 1993 and has been in full time practice ever since. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education, is Nationally Certified with NCBTMB, a member of Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals, and a continuing Education Provider through the NCBTMB. Along with a full time Massage Therapy practice, she teaches a wide variety of classes for continuing education at several locations.

In 2001 she attended Claire's extraordinary Reflexology class and has become a devoted practitioner as well as an instructor of Integrative Reflexology.

She maintains a full time practice specializing in Swedish, Reflexology, Acupressure, Reiki, Hot Stone Massage, and Deep Tissue Massage near her home in the Wild, Wonderful Hills of West Virginia.

Tina Sorensen

Tina Sorensen is a licensed massage therapist in Omaha, Nebraska. She is also nationally certified and a member of the AMTA. She is a graduate from the Omaha School of Massage Therapy and holds a B.A. in Exercise Science and Health from Northwestern College in Orange City, IA. Tina has experience in the health care field ranging from cardiac rehabilitation, physical therapy, to aquatic therapy, all over the past 8 years. Tina got interested in massage and bodywork when working with patients she personally saw the power of touch. Her practice consists of deep tissue work and reflexology. She is a full time massage therapist working with a chiropractor in Omaha.

Tina's passion for the feet began with wise words from her grandmother about taking good care of your feet for long life. It wasn't until the spring of 2001 when Tina met Claire Marie Miller and began her formal study of reflexology. She will be teaching in Nebraska and expanding into Iowa, to spread her passion about the feet.

Tina is also an instructor at the Omaha School of Massage Therapy where she currently teaches Kinesiology, Hydrotherapy and Exercise Training. She has been teaching there since 2001 and loves it!
