Basic Course

Integrative Reflexology

This main course will teach you foot, hand, and ear reflexology basics and techniques. You will follow the 4-theory approach to reflexology: structural alignment, zones, oriental meridians, and proprioceptors. This technique is easy to use with the whole hand approach, making it gentle on thumbs. You will also learn about the cautions and contraindications to reflexology, as well as proper standing and structural alignment exercises. Anatomy of the lower leg and foot: bones, muscles, and actions. We will also help you to work with infants, children, pregnant mothers, the elderly, and the terminally ill. And as a bonus, we include spa reflexology with some aromatherapy and foot scrubs. The website and beautiful Integrative Reflexology brochures will help you market reflexology.

Advanced Courses

Prerequisite: Integrative Reflexology full course the 24 or 16 hour formats or the Integrative Reflexology home study, or any other reflexology training, upon approval by Claire Marie Miller .

Muscle/Meridian Reflexology

This is Claire's vision after 10 years of evolving the muscles as reflexology areas and drawing them on the feet. It is an innovative approach to releasing the muscle tension locked in the muscles and reflected/or reflexed in the feet. In working the map of the feet the major muscles are inserted and correspond to the actual area of the body. This phenomenon was repeatedly presented with the hip and sacrum points and the muscle, the piriformis which originates and inserts between the two bones. By releasing the area corresponding to the muscle on the feet the body releases that muscle up in it's actual place. The muscles also relate to meridians and a pattern will emerge for each client. This will give powerful tools for the massage therapist to unlock the tension held in the muscles.

Lymphatic- Reflex Detox

This therapeutic session combines a basic lymphatic massage with skin brushing, castor oil packs on both the abdomen and the feet and detoxifying foot reflexology for a powerful detoxification. The class will include an overview of the lymphatic system and an education on the connection between the lymph vessels and the neuro-secretions. The reason this is so powerful is the toxins in the nervous system are dumped into the interstial fluid and moved out via the lymph system. Details on castor oil packs and their applications for the client are taught. . The castor oil packs support the cleansing of the lymph nodes in the small intestines, called the peyers patches. This along with deep colon cleansing massage techniques make an excellent addition to your menu of services you may offer. This is course may be offered as a one day 6 or 7 hour CE course.

Deep Feet

The third day of the Advance Integrative Reflexology workshop will focus on structural alignment exercises and assessment of the client's stance. Additionally practicing the walking with conscious awareness exercises will open a new dialogue about movement and shoes. Going deeper with stretches of the foot and lower leg to open up the nerve and lymphatic channels are taught as additions to your reflexology session. And finally the therapist will create a unique one of a kind therapeutic foot session for each client as they "put it all together".

Hot Rockin Reflexology/Sweet Feet Aromatherapy

Offered as a one day 7 CE instructor led course or as a home study course and kit.

The student will be able to safely and effectively use heated basalt rocks along with aromatherapy during a reflexology session. The rocks will also double as a tool to perform a reflexology session. The student will learn a technique to use the rocks both in the affected area and as a wrap or pack on the feet. The student will learn about therapeutic aromatherapy with eight essential oils targeting common discomforts. Students will learn about the benefits of each essential oil. Students will learn how to combine the oils and then add to a carrier foot balm for the reflexology session.

Kit includes the booklet, DVD, 2 wraps, sweet feet cream (castor oil and shea butter), 8 essential oils, one dram size (lavender, rosemary, peppermint, lemongrass, cypress, ravensara, geranium, and rosewood), sweet feet card with essential oil benefits and recipes and a 4 x 5 foot reflexology card. The Kit may be purchased with the full set of 16 basalt rocks, (4 palm size rocks, 4 tool rocks, and 8 toe stones) or you may purchase only the tool rocks if you already have your own stones or buy without any rocks.
